Light structure when you need it
Folders are heavy. Tags are enough for many workflows: #work, #launch, #personal. Add tags under a note title, see chips in the sidebar, and filter the list when a tag is active.
Sticky notes on boards can carry tags too, with board-level filters so dense canvases stay searchable.
Export-friendly
Tags are included in search and written into Obsidian YAML frontmatter when you export — so organization travels with the file.
